Nanny for a Family near Brookhaven
A family in Brookhaven is seeking an experienced, confident, and nurturing nanny to support their household. The role will primarily focus on caring for their 3-year-old daughter and 1.5-year-old son, while also assisting with newborn care as the family has a 3 month old son recently home from the NICU. Their daughter is bright, imaginative, and enjoys creative play such as art, reading, and outdoor activities. She thrives with a caregiver who is engaging, positive, and genuinely warm. Their son is an easygoing and happy child who is currently working on gross motor and feeding milestones, attending physical therapy weekly. The ideal candidate will be attentive to developmental needs, open to supporting therapy goals, and comfortable managing routines for multiple young children. The schedule will align with the daughter and son's part-time school schedule (Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. for the daughter) and(Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. for the son), and responsibilities will include maintaining feeding and sleep routines, supporting developmental milestones, planning enriching activities, and providing a loving, structured environment. In addition to childcare, this role requires a proactive and organized individual who can serve as a true partner to the family during this transitional season. Duties include children's laundry, light housekeeping, bottle washing, organizing children's spaces, and helping keep the home tidy and functional. The family has bi-weekly cleaners who clean the house, so supporting functionality is the main goal. The family values a nanny who brings positive energy, is intuitive and self-sufficient, and does not require micromanagement. Experience with newborn care, including sleep routines and feeding support, is highly preferred, and a background in child development or therapy is a plus. This is a wonderful opportunity for a nurturing, capable nanny to become an integral part of a loving family as they welcome their newest child home. Additional Notes: • One family dog • Approximately 40 hours per week • Typical schedule: 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or ( willing to give less hours or be more flexible as well) Requirements 2 to 3 years minimum experience
