Since opening Georgia’s Dream Nannies (operating across the Southeast as Dream Nannies) in 2003, founder Serra Deville experienced booming success right from the start. Serra’s foundation was built on years of direct, multi-faceted experience—including a comprehensive role for one family where she served simultaneously as their professional nanny, governess, homeschool educator, and household manager. Combined with her background as a private school teacher and 8 years of homeschooling her own children on and off, Serra developed deep, firsthand insight into family dynamics, child development, personalized education, and household operations before ever launching the agency.
Driven to innovate and expand support for busy parents, Serra launched Sitter Today in 2005—an online babysitter and nanny matching platform. By 2009, after four successful years, she made the conscious choice to close the platform—not because it wasn’t growing, but because she simply did not like the hands-off model. Serra realized that leaving parents to guess who to hire from an unvetted online list went against her personal calling. She wanted to fully use her gifts and expertise to truly guide, support, and protect families. Closing the site allowed her to pour 100% of her energy, resources, and heart into scaling Georgia’s Dream Nannies as a premier, full-service agency dedicated to total parent support.

Every day, an amazing, highly qualified office team led by our manager, Don Deville, handles the hands-on work for families and candidates across Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Texas.

Don Deville, Serra’s husband, is our Manager and oversees everything that happens in the office day to day. He came to the agency with a background in general management, where he hand-picked and trained teams across multiple offices. Today he runs our daily operations, leads our office staff and keeps every search moving—families often mention how quickly he answers their calls and emails.
Service-driven and focused on people, family culture and leadership, Don also helped Serra manage Pro Maid Squad, the award-winning eco-friendly cleaning company she founded. That hands-on experience hiring, training and managing professional cleaners still sharpens every housekeeper search.
Manager Oversight
Don oversees daily operations and the whole office team, so every family and candidate gets clear communication and a fast answer. We reply within one business day.
Recruiting & Vetting
Our Placement Coordinators recruit career-minded nannies and household staff and check every reference. Our team interviews all professional candidates through multiple layers in our vetting process. Only 1 in 50 candidates is accepted.
