FAQ
Plano Nanny & Household Placement — Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions from Plano families about nanny pay, neighborhoods, and our placement process.
Which Plano neighborhoods does Dream Nannies serve?
We serve families throughout Plano, including West Plano, Legacy and Willow Bend, and across the DFW Metroplex. We also place nannies and household professionals in nearby Frisco, Southlake, Westlake and Fort Worth.
What are typical nanny rates in Plano?
In Plano, professional nannies typically earn $30–$42+ per hour, depending on experience, qualifications and the duties of the role. Infant specialists, bilingual nannies and nanny/household-manager hybrids sit at the top of the range.
How does the placement process work for Plano families?
The process begins with an Insight Call to understand your family’s needs, schedule and priorities. We then recruit and screen candidates and present a small, hand-selected group, not a stack of resumes. Dream Nannies is a placement agency, so your family interviews, chooses, hires and employs your nanny directly.
How are candidates screened, and what if a placement doesn’t work out?
Every candidate is reference-checked and interviewed through multiple layers in our vetting process. A comprehensive background check is run once your family chooses a candidate and completed before they start. We accept roughly 1 in 50 applicants. Every placement also includes our 6-month candidate replacement guarantee: if your hired candidate does not work out during the first six months, our agency will actively source a qualified replacement.
Can you help Plano families hire a live-in or live-out nanny?
Yes. We place both live-out nannies, who keep their own home and work a set schedule, and live-in nannies, who live with your family. For live-in roles, room and board are part of the nanny’s compensation, not an extra on top of salary.
