A welcoming family in Simpsonville, South Carolina is seeking a proactive, intuitive Family Assistant to help take on the mental load of managing a busy household. The ideal candidate is highly organized, trustworthy, professional, and able to “read the room,” offering support with minimal direction while seamlessly integrating into the rhythm of the home. This role requires someone who is dependable, discreet, and able to balance efficiency with a calm, family-oriented presence. Responsibilities include light housekeeping and daily upkeep (loading/unloading dishes, vacuuming, Swiffering, making beds, taking out diaper pails, and maintaining overall household order between weekly professional cleanings), full family laundry including folding and steaming clothing, restocking household items, running errands such as grocery shopping and returns, recycling runs, vendor coordination, and general household communication. The role also includes meal prep and cooking pet care for the family cat, organization projects such as pantries and refrigerators, occasional daycare drop-offs (car seats provided), and ensuring supplies are always stocked and communicated proactively. The schedule is approximately 20 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, with possible Wednesday), with flexible daytime hours typically ending by 4 PM.
