Visiting A Local Pumpkin Farm

Visiting A Local Pumpkin Farm

Are you visiting a local pumpkin farm this weekend?  Well, make sure that you look at my pictures below for tips on buying the perfect pumpkin(s) for your home decor. The air is crisp, leaves are falling and Autumn is officially here. I absolutely love this time of the year when the air is crisp, leaves are changing colors and pumpkins are everywhere!

Every year we visit a local pumpkin farm in the mountains and select our pumpkins to use all season.

This year we decided to branch out from the normal perfect orange pumpkin and buy a few colorful looking ones to use on our front porch.

If you don’t have time to visit a local pumpkin farm, then you still have time to run down to your local grocery store, hardware store or local super store to pick up some pumpkins to use for Thanksgiving.

We found these 2 “squatty” pumpkins and 1 fat little white pumpkin.  As you can tell, the bottom 2 are not the perfect orange color, but they are not your typical shape for a pumpkin. We found pumpkins that were flat shaped at the top, so we could stack them.

There were hundreds of gray pumpkins, so we spent a lot of time trying to find just the right one that was flat on top, so we could stack it.

Happy Fall Ya’ll
