I’m proud to say that I’m a working mom! I decided to start Georgia’s Dream Nannies, Inc. (business and blog) in 2003 from scratch and a blog called MommyDecorates.com (A decorating blog)  in October 2012.  I needed a place to share all of my creative and decorating ideas, encouragement and business information in once place, so I decided to start 2 blogs. I hope that you enjoy this blog as much as I do adding to it every week. I have poured my heart and soul into both websites and blogs.

Working Mother

I personally think that it’s never to late to get inspired to do what you love today.   I speak to women all the time and they share with me how they want to start a business or blog, but they don’t feel qualified or feel that they have any time to do it.  I think that it is a great idea to do something you love, but do it with caution and prayer.

22 Tips For Stay At Home Moms And Working Moms

Create your own little space in your home where you can feel free to be you and let your creative juices flow!

  1. Create your very own work-space – See my workspace here and see my craft-space here
  2. Do what you love (creative work) while the kids nap, have quiet-time to themselves or when they are in school.
  3. Always have your camera ready to capture what inspires you (flowers, people, clothes, shoes, houses, paint colors and so on)
  4. Keep a sketchbook or notebook handy at all times, so you can jot down what inspires you.
  5. Keep a calendar handy with you. I am old-fashion and still prefer paper and pen!
